Frank Saxby

Practice Manager

Tell us about yourself

I am the firm’s Practice Manager and I have been with Atkins Hope Solicitors since 2006. I have a BA Combined Honours in Economics and Public Administration, gained a Distinction in my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and am a Certified Coach.

What’s your Expertise?

My expertise lies with instigating and managing change within the firm; change that results in better working practices and ultimately in improved client service.

This expertise comes from a solid history of commercial experience and proven success in transforming businesses into positive, modern organisations. This is done by working with and through the people within the business to effect necessary change.

What do you offer clients of Atkins Hope Solicitors?

A ‘roll the sleeves up’ attitude which means if something needs to be done to keep the firm working at its optimum level, I’ll do it.

I like to think I lead by example and try to inject a sense of humour into everyday working practices which can only have an encouraging effect on the mood and motivation of the firm which, in turn, positively affects the way that services are delivered to our clients.

What else would you like to tell us about your role?

In my role I have focused on making strategic improvements in the areas of Finance, Human Resources, IT, business processes and business development. I am fortunate in working with technically excellent lawyers and support teams who are genuinely nice people and our reputation for first-rate work and approachability is spreading.

Could you give us a quote?

“The legal profession is experiencing unprecedented change and law firms must keep abreast of the changing needs and demands of clients and the wider economic environment”.

Is there anything else you’d like to tell us?

I have undertaken voluntary work for Help the Aged, RSPCA and have helped raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

I have in recent years run the West Coast and Juan de Fuca Trails in British Columbia, Canada.
I enjoy spending time with the great joys of my life, my daughters, a constant source of amusement and bemusement! I have a keen interest in history, classical music and languages. My more active pursuits include trail/mountain running, weight training, rock climbing, martial arts, canoeing and kayaking, swimming and cycling. So not much really.

Do you have something intriguing to leave us with?

I was once presented with an award for ‘On the Night Comedian’ for a 5 minute stand up comedy session. Clearly a bad night to be in the audience!
