Tell us about yourself

I am a solicitor who qualified in 2002 and joined Atkins Hope in 2009.

What’s your Expertise?

My specialist area of law is Residential Property. I deal with all legal aspects of moving home (conveyancing) and am also involved in some general landlord and tenant work.

What do you offer clients of Atkins Hope Solicitors?

I offer clients a very personal, face to face service which is tailored specifically to their needs.

Clients will be made to feel that their property transaction is important to me and that their particular wishes, needs and concerns are being appreciated, heard and dealt with in an efficient manner.

I always take the time to explain everything to clients in a language they can understand without using too much legal jargon.

On purchases, some law firms report to their clients in one go with a large bundle of document and the contract to sign. This often leaves little time to sort out any queries the client may wish to raise before they are expected to exchange contracts. I prefer reporting to clients as I go along to give them a better chance of digesting smaller pieces of information and any issues they might have can be flagged up and dealt with before they are expected to exchange contracts by which time it is often too late.

What else would you like to tell us about your role?

It is a very pro-active one. I am committed to offering value for money – well, added value actually – so my focus is always on moving things along as efficiently as possible and keeping in regular contact with clients, estate agents, other Solicitors, mortgage lenders, surveyors, and any other parties that may be involved.

Do you have something intriguing to leave us with?

Outside of work, you will probably find me falling down a ski slope or cycling around the Park. I enjoy eating out with friends too (Indian being my particular favourite). As you can see, in fact, anything to keep me away from the house and another botched DIY job!
