Karen Campbell

Trainee Legal Executive

Tell us about yourself

I am a Paralegal and I joined Atkins Hope in 2008.

What’s your Expertise?

I am currently studying to become a Member and then a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and have already gained certificates in Family Law and Family Practice.

What do you offer clients of Atkins Hope Solicitors?

The ability to strike a good balance between providing a sympathetic yet professional and reassuring approach, together with an honest interest in their case and its outcome.

What else would you like to tell us about your role?

My story is slightly different to those of some of my colleagues as I actually joined Atkins Hope as a secretary. I have worked in the legal field, and in particular in family law, for almost 10 years, starting as an office junior and then moving up to Legal Secretary. I am delighted to now be furthering my career and developing my legal expertise.

Could you give us a quote?

“I hope that my background – the way I have entered into the legal profession by working my way up through the ranks – will help me gain a thorough understanding of clients and their needs.”

Is there anything else you’d like to tell us?

A background that has seen me work my way through the ranks allows me a good insight into more than one aspect of the legal process. I think this will benefit clients because I’ve been on the ‘front line’ dealing with enquiries and concerns so I know first hand the issues they face and can provide them with the information I know they need, even before they have asked for it.

Do you have something intriguing to leave us with?

I took Ballroom and Latin American dance lessons for 8 years.
