Sherry Fard


Sherry Fard has seven years experience in civil litigation in a variety of settlings including a private finance company and as an in-house paralegal for a local authority in the Litigation Department. She accrued a wealth of experience in all aspects of commercial and property disputes prior to her qualification as a solicitor in 2017. She recently passed the Civil Litigation Higher Rights court permitting her to act as a solicitor-advocate and conduct advocacy in all Courts of England and Wales.

Sherry advises in many aspects of civil litigation including commercial contract disputes, residential and commercial property disputes, director disputes, enfranchisement and disputes concerning wills and Estates. She is also familiar with aspects of intellectual property law (excluding patents).

Her current caseload includes leaseholders and freeholders on lease extension and purchasing a freehold, contract disputes, residential and commercial lease disputes and debt matters, intestacy disputes and will disputes. She is a skilled negotiator, aiming always to negotiate a fair settlement for her clients to avoid the need for court proceedings.

Sherry is especially interested in advising clients in litigation related to challenging a will or the distribution of an Estate (contentious probate). She can also advise clients who have potential trusts of land cases (TOLATA) where there are disputes over sale of a jointly owned property and/or the division of sale proceeds.

Sherry works with all departments at Atkins Hope to provide a comprehensive service on all contentious matters. Sherry is an enthusiastic and approachable lawyer who provides a high quality service for her clients.

Sherry speaks French having spent one year living and studying in Paris, France and is a native Farsi speaker.
